  • A million dollars?

I just heard from Joyce Meyer that when you're 25 years old if you start saving $65.00 a month then by the time you're 65 years old you'll have a million dollars.(talk about a happy retirement!!!) Now, math is NOT my best subject, but that doesn't seem to add up to me. Could she have meant $65.00 a week or do you get an insane amount of interest returned the more money you have in your account? Or Did she just not have her facts straight? I'm really curious...

  • I became a vegetarian on January 2nd, and I lost 5lbs in the first 4 days!!! Sweeeet!!! Of course i still have alot more to lose, but I know I can do it. This is my 7th day and I feel like I've lost even  more weight but I'm only allowing myself to weigh once a week so I don't become obsessed with it.

Being a vegetarian isn't just to lose weight though(although that's a major plus)it's mostly for the health benefits.

Basically I ate so much meat during the holidays that I just got sick of it,(and watching charlottes web made me NEVER want to eat pork again, wilbur was soooo cute!!!) plus I ate alot of other junk food over the holidays and just felt so, blaaaah...I felt the need to eat more fruits and veggies and less junk/meat, and being a vegetarian is a good way to do that.

I was a vegetarian when I was a teenager and I had TONS more energy and wasn't over weight at all, plus I hardly ever got sick.

I've just felt so tired and sluggish lately I miss those energetic vegetarian days...

So I've decided to take the veggie plundge once again.

Moe's has an awesome veggie burrito!

And morningstar makes a veggie chicken patty that tastes just like chick-fil-a but is made from soy. Awesomeness!

  • It's friday night

    And the moon is bright

    We're gonna have some fun

    Show you how it's done

    TGIF!

Did anyone else grow up watching TGIF on ABC? Full House, Family Matters, Step by Step...

    Those were the good ol'days!

There's some channel on cable, can't remember which one but it plays re-runs of all the old TGIF shows during the day, sometimes I watch it when I'm babysitting while Brendan takes his nap. Brings back memories!

Now I'm all grown up and working on friday nights...but I'm not complaining because I absolutely love both my jobs and am very blessed to have each of them. I actually get to have fun while at work which is a def.plus!!!

Hope you all have a great weekend.

    Peace, love, and wonderful weekends,

    <>< Amy

  • 2007 already....wow. I can remember when it was 1999 like yesterday...the past 7 years have completely ZOOMED by.

    Alot of people have been making lists of 2006 in a glance so I was inspired to do the same;

Jan; Started babysitting Brendan 5 days a week. Found out my mom had digerative disc disease and shingles. Starting playing bass guitar & singing in the praise band with Nancy at Freedom Chapel.

Feb; Went to Hannah & Josh's wedding. Went on my first date ever. (*gasps*) which was also the last date i had. lol sad but true!

March; NANCY AND DAN GOT MARRIED!!!!!!! And I was very blessed to be a bridesmaid. (Sorry I never danced like I said I would, Nancy, but you know, you didn't have dancing at your wedding...so I have a good excuse!!!)

April; Laura & Lukes wedding where I was surrounding by british people, in perfect bliss.

May; Mandi & Allen's wedding(2006 was a year of weddings, that's for sure) which was also kinda like a highschool reunion since I saw a lot of my old friends there that I hung with in highschool.

June; Amanda, Cory & I were entertained on Amanda's parents front porch at 1am by a crazy drunk lady that ran up on the porch and starting dancing for us and asked  us to forgive her that she'd just been to a baby shower and had too much to drink there(since when did baby showers serve alcohol?!?)Sweet the sound wrote a couple of new songs and played some shows.

July; Melanie & Brett got married and I was blessed to be a bridesmaid. I found out I had tendonitis in my wrist and had to stop being a massage therapist. My parents decided to get a divorce after almost 30 years of marriage. My mom gave away my dog(july was a rough month..)

Aug; Went to many job interviews and pondered what my new career path would be. Amanda asked me to move in with her.

September; Got hired and starting working for the eye doctor at for eyes where I got to carpool with my bestest friend Nancy(good times) Moved into Amandas apartment.

October; Got a job offer to be a DJ at a christian radio station and decided that was the career path I wanted to take.(my dream job!!!) Turned in my notice at 4 eyes and started working at the radio station as well as babysitting 5 days a week.

November; Went to Alabama for thanksgiving and saw my grandma and all my uncles/aunts there who I hadn't seen in a while. Got a whole week off work at the radio station cuz my boss was really nice and decided to give us a paid break after the crazy busy funraising month.

December; Continued to work 65 hours a week. (40 at the radio station, 25 babysitting)Spent more time reading the bible/growing closer to God. Starting writing songs more with Amanda, Johnny and Cory. Had lotsa fun with friends and family on christmas and new years eve.
