  • G'day all my faithful xanga readers, I hope you all had a  really great weekend! I certainly did!

Last night I met up with Lauren, Tiffany, Leah & Ashley and we all went down to the tabernacle in Atlanta where we saw my good xanga friend Levi Weaver(Hi Levi!!!) open up for Imogen Heap(the lead singer of frou frou who sang "let go" on the soundtrack to garden state..one of the best soundtrack's ever, I might add)

It was really great meeting Levi, he was really really nice and put my name on the guest list so I could go back and meet him and Imogen too which was totally awesome, and what was even more awesome was the security guard ended up letting all four of my friends go back with me which was really really nice!

Imogen has the coolest british accent..and she's so talented, she played a bunch of different instruments and mixed/looped everything, it was amazing... plus I just really love her voice, it's so unique and beautiful sounding!

Levi was absolutely mesmerizing too, I loved it when he played his guitar which a violin bow, that was wicked cool...he also did a bunch of cool looping/mixing tricks which I would love to learn, and he has a really great voice as well.

And the other guy that opened up for Imogen could make sounds with his own voice that sounded like a total drum set, turn table, everything...I didn't know those sounds could come out of a person, it was insanely cool.

And imogen had the coolest keyboard stand ever, it looked like a grand piano, covered in lights, it was really amazing! One of the best shows I've been to.

  • I've had a really good week at the radio station! I got to record a merry christmas message where I got to SING merry christmas and it's going to be played like a commercial during the christmas season, woohoo!! It was fun!!

Embarassing moment of the week; I left my mic on by mistake and broadcasted across the air to everyone " These head phones make my ears ITCH". LOL.

  • DJ (Gasara )asked me to post some wrenching stories of hilarity from my first week working at the radio station.

I've had quite a few of those so I'll try and narrow it down to a couple of the funniest.

I was reading a list (ON AIR) of people in the armed force to pray for, and there was this guy named Dammik, which probably should've been pronoucned "Dame ick" but I pronounced it "Dam ick" which sounded like cussing..on a christian radio station...nice, huh?

I was on the air with 2 other co-workers here at the radio station and one of them asked me "did you know (insert large number) of people give their lives to alla every day? I said "HALLELUJAH!"(I thought he'd said ABBA...not alla...the muslim god)

But thankfully I didn't get fired for any of that.

Which I'm happy about cuz it's alot of fun working here.

I think I've finelly found my "thing"! I think I'll be happy working here for the rest of my life!

Also a funny note, we have to pray on the air for people who've called in prayer requests, and the very first thing I ever had to pray for was a runaway cat that it would be re-united with it's family. Mel was in the room with me and I had to try so hard not to laugh..but then I thought about my room mate's cat and how sad I'd be if it ran away so that helped me pray for that cat.

Oh and a lady came in to the station with her dog and she said her dog was giving us money to praise God for trees and grass. lol.

This is Melanie sitting across from me at the radio station. She put a peice of paper on her head trying to make me laugh while we were on air together(and I did laugh, but I muted my mic first so there, ha!) the web cam caught a picture of her, though..so i decided to share it with you.

  • My first week working at the radio station went REALLY well, thanks so much to everyone that prayed for me..I really like working there.

I'm just curious, are any of y'all that read this from California?

  • Today's my first day working at the radio station! Pray for me, I'm nervous..eeeeh!!!

  • Tomorrow's my first day working as a DJ at the radio station! I'm excited.

  • If it were possible to give God a hug, I'd give Him the biggest hug ever right now.

I got the best phone call ever today.

I found out I got the DJ job at the christian radio station after all!!! YAAAAAAAY!!!

I start next monday and I'm soooo excited, this is like my total dream job.

Thanx sooo much all y'all that prayed!

I'm officially very happy to be taking care of Brendan 5 days a week again...he's such a cute baby...he learned how to color in a coloring book this week so we did that a lot plus played with all the new toys he got for his first birthday a couple weeks ago and watched cartoons...basically I am having a blast playing all day and getting paid for it!!

Oh and those of you that have heard my funny roar will find it funny to know that brendan roars now too! lol! I ask him "brendan, what do lions do?" and he goes RAWWWWR!!! It's the cutest thing ever.

I love making Brendan laugh, too..I do that about 100 times a day just for fun.

Oh and the doctor says my wrist is better enough for me to start doing massages twice a week, so I'm going to be working for wellstar on monday nights and then working independently on wednesday nights, so if you or anyone you know wants a massage, let me know!

  • I found out I didn't get the DJ job.

I'm trying not to be too bummed out about it, because I know God is in control...but still..it's hard not to be bummed.

I am happy I get to start nannying for brendan again though, he's a really sweet baby..plus I'm still going to work for the eye doctor on thursdays...plus the wrist doctor said it'd be okay for me to start doing massages again, just only a couple times a week and not like every day again., so that's cool.

Not as cool as being a DJ, though. *sighs*.
