  • It's happened...
     
    I'm in love.
     
    LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
     
    With a store, that is. (had ya going there for a minute, didn't i?! haha)
     
    I officially LOVE the store "Rugged Wearhouse".
     
    For those of you that have never been there, it's a store that gets the overstock from all the name brand stores and sales them for waaaaay cheap.
     
    For example, I went to the mall earlier this week to kill some time in between work and meeting Dan and Nancy for dinner, and I found this shirt I absolutely ADORED that I was psyched to find on the 50% off rack.
     
    But to my dismay when I got to the counter to buy it, I found that it had been mis-hung, and it was NOT 50% off, causing it to be way foolishly too high priced for me to buy.
     
    So alas, I left the beloved shirt behind and headed to another of my fave stores at the mall,  to the back of the store where the clarence rack always is, the only rack I can afford to buy off of in the store.
     
    Well, when I got to the back of the store the clarence rack was no longer there! I asked the clerk if they'd moved it to a different part of the store, and she said no that the home office had ordered them not to have a clarence rack anymore but to ship all their clarence
    stuff to CA to a discount store there. I was majorly bummed and left the mall empty handed.
     
    Well today I went to Rugged Wearhouse and not only did I find the EXACT same shirt
    I found at the first store I'd been to at the mall for about 70% off the price it was at the mall, I ALSO found a whole rack of clothes from the store I'd been to that had vanished it's clarence to CA. (Apparently not everything had gone to CA but some things stopped off in Cartersville, GA, on the way)
     
    So I got 3 pairs of pants and 3 shirts at rugged wearhouse for
    what ONE pair of pants would've cost me at the mall.
     
    So needless to say, I'm a faithful rugged wearhouse shopper from now on.

  • I still haven't found out if I got the DJ job yet, but they did say it could be up to one month before they make the decision, so I'm not worrying about it.

    The parents of the baby I used to nanny for called me and said they want me to come back to work for them so much that they'll pay my health insurance and pay me the same amount working from 10am-3pm as I make now working 10am-6pm. So I accepted they're offer and turned my two week notice in at the eye doctor today.

    And if I get the DJ job, then I'll simply work both the nanny job and the DJ job. I'd have no free time during the week, but I'd have EVERY weekend off which would rock, plus it'd liike double my pay which would be totally sweet.

    I can't believe it's october already, this year has completely flown by...

  • So for those of you that don't know, I just interviewed for a job as a DJ for a christian radio station(the one where one of my bestest friends melanie works)...which would be like...my DREAM job!!! I went for the first interview last week, and the manager called me and said they'd narrowed it down between me and one other girl and they wanted me to come back and interview with the president and another manager...so i did that today. I thought it went really well... hopefully they thought so too. PRAAAY!!!

  • Y'all please pray for me... I'm at a crossroads in life where I could take 3 different paths and I'm really debating which path is the right one to take, so please pray that God will direct me down the one He wants me to take and that I'll find peace about the decisions I make.

  • My weekend went pretty well! The concert went great, and we had alot of friends and family show up which was awesome...and some strangers that heard us for the 1st concert liked us so much that they came for the 2nd one, which was totally sweet!

  • Y'all pray for me the next few days....There's been a lot of emotionally draining drama going on with my family and it makes me really sad...you all know how I'm all about the peace, joy and happiness. It makes me sad when people are upset with each other and there isn't peace.
     
    Also, for the next 3 days I'm going to be the only doctor's assistant at my new job and I'm really nervous about handling all the health insurance claims and such, half the time i have trouble figuring out what people's co-pays are...
     
    I LOVE assisting the doctors and working with the patients, I just DON'T love also having to process all the insurance claims and money and forms and stuff, that is all new to me and now that the lady that is training me is going out of town I won't have anyone to ask questions (the doctor's are as clueless as me when it comes to insurance/co-pays/etc)
     
    So yeah, needless to say I've felt  really stressed lately...plus I haven't gotten paid in 3 weeks cuz I don't get my first pay check till next week so I'm stressed financially too right now.
     
    Just keep me in your prayers...I just want to press fast forward and skip ahead to happier/easier times. *Sighs*

    My first week at my new job and living with Amanda went by in a really fast blur!
    I was a little stressed(okay VERY stressed)at first but things are getting better now.
     
    A funny moment at work was when an old russian woman came in for an eye exam and told me "you will do very well working here, you are very cozy. You make people feel good". lol, that made my day!
     
    I'm back in c'ville for the weekend cuz today I went to my friends wedding in cartersville...they were 15 when I met them and now they're all grown up and married...crazy! I'm happy for them though.
     
    Well I'm going to watch a movie with my mom now...peace out, my fellow xanga homies.
     

  • Well, I'm officially moved into Amanda's apartment, and I start my new job tomorrow! Please pray that I adjust nicely, too the new job and the new home. So far, so good.

    My sister and I got in a cat fight today over the laptop, arms and hands flaring about and everything, lol! I won. But in the end I'm so nice i'll probably end up giving it to her and trying to find room for the desk top in the apartment...

    The lap top sure does fit nicely here, though... *sighs*

  • Funny conversation my sister Meghan and I had tonight;
     
    Meghan: Your hair looks better blonde.
    Me: then why do people compliment me more when it's red?
    Meghan: Well, you do look more like a rocker with it red...
    Meghan: And you are a rocker, so go ahead and rock.
     
    lol I thought that was the funniest line ever.. "you are a rocker, so go ahead and rock". haha
     
    This is my last night officially living with my mom and sister. Tomorrow I move in with Amanda, yay!
     
    Right now my sister and i are in a battle over the laptop..dad said one of us can have the desktop computer and the other the laptop, but i won't really have room for a desktop(not to mention i won't have a desk)so I really want the lap top..but so does my sister..aaaahhhhh....
