I've decided it's time to start writing in my xanga daily again...even if it's just one line or one random thought, my goal is to write SOMETHING every day.
I'm at work right now..and it's really cold inside the radio station. I think it's warmer outside then it is inside!
I just did the weather report and we're supposed to get more rain tomorrow, and there's a wind advisory all day, I hope that doesn't turn into tornados, I'm so tired of tornados messing up my sleep schedule! :-p
So as most of y'all know I work for Immanuel Broadcasting, Praise FM Radio... and for the stations 25th birthday we're putting on a Point of Grace concert on April 12th at 6pm.

Y'all should be proud of me, I've been cooking healthy dinners for myself at work every night instead of eating fastfood/junkfood...yep, I, Amy, am COOKING! *gasps* wonders never cease! lol
I bought a tiny grill for 11 bucks at ingles that cooks one serving of meat at a time so I've been cooking things like grilled chicken, fish, ground turkey burgers, etc.
I've also been trying to eat more fruits and veggies and try different/new fruits and veggies.
I made "spaghetti squash" for the first time tonight. It's actually just squash, the vegetable, not pasta at all, but when you cut it open, it looks JUST LIKE SPAGHETTI on the inside, that's why it's called spaghetti squash. You can actually make it just like spaghetti and put tomatoe sauce, etc, but you can also leave it plane and just add butter/salt or any kind of flavor you want. I put low fat salad dressing on it, it was pretty good, especially for only 37 calories per serving!!! And zero fat! Way better for you than pasta, lol.
So yep, I'm rather proud of myself I must say, no more frozen dinners/fast food for me, I'm learning to cook! ![]()
I'm finally back to work after being out sick for 2 days in a row..finally gave up and went to the doctor yesterday, cuz I'm supposed to sing TWICE this weekend (leading worship for bible study saturday and singing at a church coffeehouse sunday night let me know if any of you want to come i'll give you details!)so I figured I'd better get some meds and knock out whatever was wrong with me, so I did. Found out it was a sinus infection, just as I'd figured...I generally get sinus infections about twice a year, not fun..:-p but they're typically easy to cure with a little amoxicillion(i know I didn't spell that right lol)
I went to the little doctor's clinic in publix, it was awesome, I only had to wait like 15 minutes cuz there was only one person ahead of me, and they have a free prescription deal going on at publix where certin prescriptions are free and mine was one of the free ones so yay! I did pay extra for the actual doctor visit but honestly I'd rather pay extra and not have to wait for hours or be surrounded by other sick people who have other things i might catch so I'd rather pay extra and AVOID millions of sick people and waiting hours lol so yeah paying the $59.00 for the doctors visit was totally worth it.
Aww, a listener just called the radio station and said he was praying for me when I was sick(apparently my co-workers who filled in for me the 2 nights I was sick told the listeners I was sick)I thought that was so sweet that he prayed for me..aww.. ![]()
Speaking of listners it's the all request hour now so I'd better get back to work, have a blessed day all my faithful blog readers!! ![]()
So today's the first day of the 12 week challenge at my gym!! Whoever loses the most % body fat in 12 weeks wins $500.00!!! I'm excited about it, I have faith that I can win this thing!!! $500.00, here I come!!! ![]()
I went to the gym today and did an hour of cardio (20 minutes treadmill, 20 minutes air glider, 20 minutes bike) also weight trained for 20 minutes but I don't think that was enough time for weight training so I'm gonna allow 30 min next time. I'm gonna try to work out 3 to 6 times per week and drink nothing but water, v8 and emergency (vitamin drink) which means NO SOFTDRINKS or STARBUCKS. Whenever I crave those I'm just gonna think, do I want to drink that, or win $500.00?? lol
I'm also gonna eat healthier, less junk food and less beef and pork and more fruits and veggies, chicken, fish, etc.
Once I set my mind to something I can be VERY motivated/inspired, so I think I'll do really well! And even if I don't win the $500 after 12 weeks, I should've got my tax returns by then so I'll just treat myself to some new clothes either way.
I'm excited! I feel awesome after working out today, much more energetic!
